History
Back in 1996, a winemaker known for his meticulous craft loosened his collar and put together an impromptu blend for a friend's wine club. The result, ElRoy Proprietor's Red, quickly became a word-of-mouth sensation. To make a long story short, ElRoy is now in its 10th year, and the latest vintage is every bit as inviting as the first.
Over the years, Syrah, Malbec, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot have been added in various combinations to enhance complexity. For the 2006 vintage, the partners J2C3M enabled Draxton Wines to source fruit from multiple well-established Alexander Valley vineyards. The result is a unique blend that adds a refined chapter to the ElRoy story.
